نویسندگان

چکیده

Enabling high content silicon anodes for Li-ion batteries has been a challenge decades. In this Review on page 16275 ff., B. Rage and co-workers highlight core-shell structures as potential solution. Covering the design, synthesis resulting properties of core-shells anodes, critical thinking outlook is also given.

Silicon nanotube battery anodes.

We present Si nanotubes prepared by reductive decomposition of a silicon precursor in an alumina template and etching. These nanotubes show impressive results, which shows very high reversible charge capacity of 3247 mA h/g with Coulombic efficiency of 89%, and also demonstrate superior capacity retention even at 5C rate (=15 A/g). Furthermore, the capacity in a Li-ion full cell consisting of a...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Structured Silicon Anodes for Lithium Battery Applications

Pillar arrays fabricated on silicon substrates have been tested as potential anodes for lithium batteries. Electrodes of array characteristics, diameter 580 6 150 nm; fractional surface coverage 0.34; height 810 nm are reported here. Cyclic voltammetry ~CV! and cyclic galvanostatic tests of alloying/dealloying of electrochemically produced lithium with silicon were carried out, and results corr...

Surface engineering of sponge-like silicon particles for high-performance lithium-ion battery anodes.

Surface engineering of sponge-like Si particles is necessary to alleviate the large volume expansion of Si during the lithiation-delithiation process and to mitigate the unwanted interfacial reactions upon cycling. The sponge-like Si structuring and introduction of double layers consisting of carbon and polyimide enabled us to make high performance Si anode materials exhibiting a high specific ...
